Alchemist Connect is a private console operated by Alchemist IT. These terms apply to everyone who signs in to it. Signing in means accepting them.
Access is by invitation, for the purpose of an engagement with Alchemist IT. Use only the account issued to you, keep its password to yourself, and set up two-step sign-in, which every account needs. Unauthorised access, or any attempt to reach what your account was not given, is prohibited and may be an offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.
Connect reads client ServiceNow instances under agreed engagements. What it shows - tickets, users, configuration - belongs to the client and is confidential. Use it only for the engagement and only on the instances and products your account was granted. Connect reads records live and does not keep copies of them; what it does keep about an instance (health measurements, findings, drafted explanations of configuration, and for project management the documents of the engagement) is set out, with how long each is kept, in the client impact assessment that forms part of the engagement. Instance credentials are stored encrypted and are never shown.
Some features draft text with an AI model from Anthropic: summaries, readings of findings, explanations of scripts and, for project management, documents. Each client chooses whether anything about them may be sent to the model, and on what terms - off, on, or on with zero retention - and an instance must also be allowed separately. A feature that may not send says so where it would have shown. Anthropic does not use what is sent to train its models. AI output is a draft: it can be wrong, it is labelled as a draft, and it should be checked before anyone relies on it. The operator may also work in Connect through an AI assistant; it acts under the same permissions, restrictions and logging as a person, and the operator remains responsible for what it changes.
Sign-ins, changes made through Connect, writes to client instances, transfers and AI tool calls are recorded in an activity log for security and audit, kept for two years unless the engagement sets otherwise. Repeated failed sign-ins from one email address or one network address are refused for a short period. How personal information about the people who use Connect is handled is in the privacy notice.
Connect is provided as part of Alchemist IT's services and on the terms of the engagement. Beyond those terms it is provided "as is": reasonable care is taken, but no warranty is given as to its availability, accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose, and Alchemist IT accepts no liability for loss arising from its use except where the law does not allow that to be excluded. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
